Inspired by watercolors and I’ve painted the shrinking pond near my mother’s house outside Guthrie, OK. In creating this piece I let the layers dry down before adding the next. This became a meditation surrounding water, conserving water, and the sacred quality tiny ponds have to animals. Since the water has evaporated from the painting, I guild the small pond in gold leaf as a reminder of the meditation.
Each print has hand finished gold details.
